Matthew Ramirez, Founder and Conductor
A 5th year student at the Texas Tech University School of Music, Mr. Ramirez is pursing a degree in Music Education and Music Composition. Ramirez has had extensive experience in conducting ensembles. Ramirez has conducted trombone choirs at the International Trombone Festival through premiers of his works, and has, since 2021, set up the annual Steubing Ranch Fourth of July Concert, which has eventually turned into the North East Wind Symphony.
Teya Martin, Secretary and Associate Conductor
A 5th year student at the Texas Tech University School of Music, Ms. Martin is about to graduate with a degree in Music Education. A veteran of the Blue Coats Drum and Bugle Corps, Martin has a large range of expertise in brass education and the marching arts. Martin serves as the Associate Conductor of the North East Wind Symphony and the Secretary of the NEWS Board.
